Dog Mother Wine Lover

Is it just me, or do these two go PERFECTLY together?? UGH. I couldn't get Duke to sit still for longer than 2.5 seconds, let alone for this pic, but oh well. We are still in puppy stage (he just turned one) & up until now he hadn't been much of a chewer. 2018 begins and now we chew on absolutely EVERYTHING. Starting with mom's BRAND NEW Dry Bar straightener cord! Yes, silly me I called Nordstrom with the product and return label in hand, when I realized the end of my cord being chewed to pieces may in fact be the reason it no longer works (face palm). Hmm.. what was next, oh yes my blush brush (thank goodness My Makeup Brush set sent me a whole new set days later, read the product review here.) Followed by my Beats headphones, oh and yes a battery. A BATTERY. So if you have any tips or tricks to curve this chewing habit... let a girl know. Is he bored with his toys? Is buying him new toys rewarding bad behavior? HELP. Thankfully I have the cutest, most soft custom tee from GracefulLeeHandmade to wear while I drink my nightly glass of Cab, trying not to think of all my chewed up belongings! You can shop my exact tee here, or by clicking on the image above! GracefulLeeHandmade has the cutest tee's, towels, art, etc! Ya'll know I love everything unique, and especially handmade! Head over to her Etsy shop so you can find the tee that fits you perfectly!

Happy Friday!!! Anyone else feel super accomplished this week?? I finally feel like I am back in my old routine & the creative juices are flowing!! I just booked a little mini vacay to see my friend Kales in Dallas in March & I am so excited! I love having things to look forward to (I look forward to everyday) but special events/ trips always give me a little extra pep in my step! I hate to blame the weather on my lack of energy lately, but I'm going to do it anyway! I don't know about you, but when it's cold, it's ten times harder for me to put a cute outfit together. This is probably because I know I'm going to live in my parka all day anyway, but life (and real estate) do require me to wear things other than my pajama's all day! When I came across this School Girl Sweater from my favorite, Boutique Rye I knew I had to have it, for two reasons. Okay, actually three. One it was LONG enough. Never happens to me, (I'm 5/'10 and everything is short). Long enough to get away with wearing leggings under it and pairing it with some riding boots to look totally put together will little to no effort. Second reason, it's olive green, which I love & three it has ruffles! (We know how i feel about ruffles!) Okay, I lied, there's four reasons. IT'S on MAJOR SALE! & don't forget you get an extra discount for being a Little Blonde House follower! Use the code {Madison10} at checkout here. Paired with my new favorite leather earrings from Inspire Kc Jewelry! I love the change in shape & this gold matches EVERYTHING!!! Visit their etsy shop here!

Sherpa Vest & Beanie

This past week finally felt like my old routine again! I function so much better when I stick to my normal routine & schedule out my days! Anyone else?? Dane was on a golf trip this past weekend so it allowed me to get a lot of fun content planned and shot for the blog! (I try to keep my weekends free, if at all possible to spend a little time together!) so amongst the blog prep and work, I may have done a little online shopping too... Oops! I got my first True Grit sweatshirt this year for Christmas & I'm hooked! I loved it so much I started looking for a vest in sherpa as well! So you can understand my excitement when I found one at Nordstrom (not True Grit) but extremely similar & it was under $60!! I went down a size because it is super roomy but still left enough space to wear a thick sweatshirt under it, since the weather in Kansas City has been FRIGID, i'll link it here & below!. Peep, a few other Christmas presents i've been loving lately! This beanie is so soft & the pom is detachable! I have it in numerous colors & 50% off the proceeds are donated to cancer patients, Thanks Love Your Melon! I linked a few of my fav beanies here & on the pics ! Plus, Michael Kors newest smartwatch. Like i've mentioned, I LOVE my Apple watch, however, sometimes I feel unprofessional wearing it in client meetings, closings, etc. but I never wanna miss an important call! I love this watch because it looks like an everyday fashion watch, but keeps me up to date if my phone isn't in close reach!

It has been WAY to cold for my liking, which makes it so hard for me to be creative when putting outfits together! Anyone else like that? I would pick leggings and an oversized sweater with fuzzy socks, Uggs and my parka to be in ALL day if I could, because the thought of putting jeans on in -5 degree weather is the last thing I want to do! However, beanies have been life lately! Throw in a few curls & an effortless look ends up being cute & cozy at the same time! I am SO picky when it comes to beanies, because i hate itchy ones that I wanna take off in a few minutes after wearing them. I love when they have a fold & especially a pom at the end! For a little pop of color amongst my black, gray, cream trend i've been on lately, this burgundy beanie from Boutique Rye has been the perfect pop, I needed. You can shop it here ! I have also linked my favorite cream cowl neck sweater of the season, here. Don't forget to use the code {Madison10} at checkout with!

Look Back At It Sweater & Plaid Leather Earrings

How is Christmas less than a week away!? Thankfully, we have finally finished our shopping (with a huge thanks to Amazon!) But, if you're anything like me, the holidays can be extremely overwhelming! I have always been a quality over quantity type of person, as many of you know I cannot stand what I call "STUFF", you know the things you buy that you really don't need and they end up in a drawer not to be seen for over a year, when you pick it up and say "oh my goodness, I totally forgot I had this!" (That's me every year!). So I have really tried to reduce the amount of "stuff" we have, but Christmas time seems to undo all of the annual purging. Okay, enough rambling. These three pieces however, are anything but stuff, because they have all gotten their fair share of use in the past month! My sweater, from Boutique Rye is so soft! It comes in three colors here, Mauve, Cream & Black & I definitely feel the need to get all three! + you can wear a real bra! (score!) Remember to use the code {MADISON10} at checkout!  It is so easy to pair with a fun set of earrings, you can buy mine here, from Inspire KC Handmade Jewelry! These jeans, ya'll I love Old Navy Jeans! Especially these, I have them in every wash they come in because they are a jegging material but are high waisted & SO comfortable. I would wear these to bed, I'm not kidding. You can bet this outfit will be on major repeat this weekend before the big day! Merry Christmas ya'll!

Floral Bomber

Obsessed with this floral bomber from Boutique Rye! Every time I am needing a black jacket I grab this bomber because it pairs well with EVERYTHING! The floral detail is simple yet noticeable, and I love the weight. I have worn it with a tank, long sleeve and short sleeve shirt & it works just like a light jacket! Paired, once again with my ride-or-die Old Navy Rockstar 24/7 steel jeans. I have every color they make in them, because they are so reasonable & feel like I'm wearing leggings! I have been leather earring obsessed lately, and I can't believe how many options Inspire KC has! Sooner of later I will probably have all of them all! (No shame here)

Sunday Stroll

I am so excited to announce that The Little Blonde House is partnering with Boutique Rye! You have probably been seeing me wear a lot of their different items since the summer, so when the opportunity arose to be their very first ambassador of course I was thrilled!!! Not only do I love to shop small to support the dreams of entrepreneurs like myself, but I love the idea of having unique items in my closet, you can't find anywhere else! Read more about my collaboration & exciting things we have coming up here. Don't forget, Little Blonde House readers & followers receive a special discount! Use the code "Madison10" at checkout, & shipping is always free! This entire outfit has been on repeat lately, and maybe thats because these jeans literally feel like PJ pants! I loved pairing this outfit with my new leather earrings from Inspire KC, a local hand made jewelry company, I have been lucky enough to partner with! Check out her Etsy shop here, it's filled with unique jewelry perfect for a gift or in my case (yourself). These booties were a great find during Nordstrom's fall sale when we were in San Diego & I'm so sad they have sold out, but I have linked one of my favorite gray booties here

Checkered Vest & Cutoff Jeans

This vest has been on repeat this week too many times than I care to admit! It has a sherpa lining & is under $40! I couldn't believe it when I saw it across the store as we were jean shopping for Dane! (Yes, jean shopping for men is worse than pulling teeth). Most of my vests are quilted, from Jcrew, but I like the idea of having options! Paired with my favorite Target brand, A New Day's Bell Sleeve Ivory top! This top is the perfect layering piece for all of your vests & coats through this season & it's under $20! I finally jumped on the cutoff jean bandwagon! I was having the toughest time finding some that were long enough for my 5'9 legs, and I was so happy when I realized they were stretchy! My cutout Steve Madden boots have been my go-to black bootie for fall & can be easily dressed up or down! Paired with the new Kate Spade Rose Gold Hybrid watch (check out my giftguide by clicking here for a full review!).

Cozy Off The Shoulder

This sweater is the perfect weight for that "in between" weather we have been living in lately! (Did I mention it's 30% off site wide on Olivia Lane starting tomorrow?) I styled it a few different ways depending on where you are going, what you're doing, etc. You'll notice I'm extremely picky when it comes to sweaters because 99% of the time I think their too itchy and they never get worn! I LOVE this material, its so soft & stretchy, not stiff & uncomfortable! Nothing worse than a boxy sweater, so I'm thankful this one is flattering and hangs in all the right places! Paired with my gray ride or die Old Navy Rockstar jeans which are currently 50% off (early black Friday sale). As always, Kendra Scott earrings & Naomi Ring (perfect for New Years Eve) complete the look, I'm loving blush and rose gold together! My earrings are color bar, and I linked them below! Today consists of gearing up for family Thanksgiving(s), yes plural! Wishing you and your family a cozy, memory filled Thanksgiving!

OTK Boots & Dresses

I'm definitely not one to knit pick every little detail or flaw of my appearance. However I find my knees to be so unbelievably unattractive (almost like a wrinkly face or something, I don't know). Even more reason why I LOVE OTK (over the knee) boots & especially pairing them with a dress for the winter! They basically serve the same function as pants & allows me to transition Spring and Summer dresses into Winter & Fall! This dress is now UNDER $20 from Evereve (I'm wearing a small, I would suggest to size down! This dress is plenty long enough, even for me!)  & my boots are Dolce Vita under $50 from Target online! P.s. is this tree not just the prettiest thing?

Lace Up Shirts & Sneakers

Peplum shirts have always been my go-to, especially because I think they are flattering on all body types! This top from Ever Eve runs big so size down! I am wearing a small! You've probably noticed most of my jeans come from Old Navy, reason being they offer a high-waisted style that is still long enough! (Tall people, check these out) and I usually stick with the Rockstar style, they have the most stretch! Athleisure sneakers are the perfect middle ground for the days when you have a million errands to run yet you still need to be put together. These Steve Madden lace up sneakers haven't left my feet since I bought them! P.s. I saw the perfect dupe at Target for $28, I could hardly tell the difference, but I know they are selling fast! Paired with a few of my everyday pieces & Kendra Scott Sophee Earrings, this  is the perfect errand running look!
