My home office is definitely still a work in progress! It's been fun to take the time to hand pick items I have had my eye on for a long time & watch it come together. I call it my brown leather free zone! If you have seen the rest of our home decor, it has a modern farmhouse feel & I tried my hardest to keep it gender neutral, for Dane's sake!
I mostly work from home so an office was a must! It's important to have a space you can get away from the lengthy to-do list that hovers over owning a home. Away from the laundry, away from the dishes. A place I can go to, to write contracts, answer emails & carry out my daily tasks of real estate! I also wanted a place to do try-on sessions for readers & to organize my thoughts & prepare content for the blog!
My first change was the light fixture! The original builders grade light was boring & ugly. I knew a chandelier would instantly change the appearance of the room & it sure did! You can shop my exact light fixture here.
I was on a hunt for the perfect accent chair, something that could function in different decor schemes, if I ever decided to change the pink's to something else. My exact chair is from Home Goods, but I did link similar tufted accent chairs below!
My desk is the perfect size! I didn't want it to be the focal point of the room but I needed it to be big enough for me to work from on a daily basis. I love it's sleek lines, it has three drawers and the bottom drawer can also hold hanging files! + it's under $200! You can shop it here.
